    What have I missed then?

To me it just seemed like someone wanting far too much money for some
bike that I have no interest in.

Could we make a new UKRM rule along the lines of eBay links must carry a few
lines of explanatory text from the auction? It's getting pretty bloody
    boring.

  5. Mainly that it's an utter pile of poo being advertised as though it's a
pristine and original example, rather than the basket case monstrosity that
it is made from a number of random baskets.

The mileage is a bit high and how does he *know* that it is the fuel pump

    What about:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2445639296&category=9915&rd=1

820 quid... and it doesn't even run. Needs a new fuel pump and battery
(note the ad. doesn't say that bit).

Call me a cynic but I'm suspicious about what else is wrong with the
bike, once it's running. Given that the fuel pump is 55- from Motorworks
I'd have fitted one myself and have been able to say it's running.

Probably because he can't hear it running.

I diagnosed it being the fuel pump on my K... only to find out that it
was the loom feeding the fuel pump.

It probably is the fuel pump though. Possibly.

Looking at the overall condition of the bike (nice set of luggage too) I
would have thought around 900 quid would be fair; if it was running and
    MOTd.

If well cared for it's going to do another 50k at least so probly. I don't
like the 75's myself, I think the different weight distribution makes them
    more prone to binning.
