Just for a moment I wondered what had happened to it, but **** it I have
enough bikes for this year, and numbers 6 and 7 have been identified (1)
    for 2005

    (1) Well I know what I want, and Christel knows what I want, so that is
    two bikes.

  3. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Austin Shackles
Nowhere does he actually say it's the TV series van. A con, if you ask
    me.

Aye, I noticed that. In fact, he very carefully /doesn't/ say
it's the same one. Cynical, moi?

  5. hehe. nah, Bond Bug, sold by reliant after they took over Bond. AKA
motorised red leicester cheese, since they were mostly bright orange and
wedge-shaped. Hilarious thing, so twas. I daresay a google will fetch up a
picture of one, there are still some around in the hands of enthusiasts.

  6. in fact, he does in as many words say that it isn't, so no con, really. It
was done for a pop video, it seems.

    I liked them. :)

Funnily enough, I cam upon some bits of car while out walking on Sunday.
From the odd bit of colour and the small racy alloy wheels I recognised
them as the back axle and front wheel/steering column of a Bug.

    Not enough to restore... :-(

Afair, one of the originals is owned by some celeb car museum in the NE
    of England.

Well no, he doesn't really; he leaves it to the intelligent
reader to infer that it's not the original. The addition of the
wording on the side could well make people think that it /is/ the
original, and bid accordingly. For everyone's sake I hope you're
    right and I'm wrong though.

Did they? I only ever registered one, but then I was never an

  17. The fact that it was done for a music video is made reasonably plain. and
if you follow the link to the OFAH website (jeeze, I must be bored tonight)
you can find corroborating info about it. There are several vans about, and
I recall 2 different ones in the series itself.
