You probably don't remember me mentioning a while back at how suprised I
was that Jeans insurance had dropped £100 this year.

    Well spotted the catch.

Despite her stating on the phone she wanted the same policy as last year,
they had issued a renewal notice that did not include the ability to ride
any other bike 3rd party (which would mean the XJ900).

At no time did they say there was any change of company and what
    "benefits" differed.

They must hav realised their error as they cancled at not cost and issued
another poslicy with a company that did do 3rd party on other bikes. Cost
    another £46 though.

I did try to get them to pay it, but I think because it was another
    company they would not budge.

Remember when I couldn't get a quote and then miracle of miracles I got
    one?

Like you, I gave them the details over the phone and when the proposal
form came for me to sign, there are a few "little" differences like
3,000 a year instead of 6,000, my marital status, my job and the form
    says I'm a non-smoker.

They say check the details carefully or else they won't pay out in the
    event of a claim.

I've already coughed up for a years premium so now when I want the
details amended to what I originally said, they'll slap another few tens
    of quid on.

I'm going to have a whinge tomorrow about it and see what happens.
