More carrying suggestions...

    If I was just carrying "stuff" then tank bag would do. It's the tent
    that's the problem.

    Like I said, the Oxford sailor type bag held all the other gear and the tent
    sat snugly on top held by three cam action tie down straps. No problem
    whatsoever.

    it is. has no extra straps than the oxford tailpack I have but its a
    far better shape.
    it isn't. Andy bungs the tent on top.
