I need to put a tent, sleeping bag and roll mat on the back of the
    bike.

Bear in mind, I have twin underseat cans with no heat shielding and
they stick out a little from under the seat.

Renntec sportrack with everything bungied (or similar) on?

Are you suggesting you don't want to bungee stuff to the pillion pad?
If you are happy to do so then one of the big Oxford roll bags, or similar
alternatives, will hold a tent, bag and matt with a few clothes easily
enough. Mine is pretty waterproof. Bonners was promoting something similar
    recently if you google.

the Tiger had it fitted when I bought it from Phil.
    no idea - see above.

    What impressed me was:

    * how easy it was to switch between touring and "sport" racks & in
    particular
    * just how fucking huge the amount of space that was available inside
    the double-sided bag system.

You really are getting rather pipe-and-slippers in your old age, aren't
    you?

    if you say so.

I haven't actually used the luggage other than to cart home the
various bits and pieces that came with the bike.

No objections to bungying to the pillion pad, except it curves.

I'll make a note to get the issue.

Though I doubt they'll be "Camping by ZX10R".

I guess it is - though it's cheaper and more appropriate for a sports-
    bike than hard luggage.

Thinking about it, for a sprotbike, a rack with side rails which could mount
a pair of monster size soft panniers would work quite well.
One might want the natty sprotbike ally subframe copied in steel first mind.

That looks quite good then. Although I don't think it's long enough
to get my tent in. Will have to measure.
Yeah, already got some of them for my car bike rack.

Ah with those tie down straps I put the tent on top of the bag and filled it
with other stuff on the way back. Still ubber secure.

I use a Givi tailpack (which is more compact than the Oxford
equivalent) strapped down with a couple of Rocstraps. I then bungee
anything else to either the back or the top of the tailpack and that's
the job done. It's only if I'm away for a couple of weeks that I
bother using panniers and a tankbag will give you a fair bit of extra
capacity rather than resorting to the panniers.

I don't find the bike suffers from stability issues at any speed and
it's only when the tankbag is full and I have to sit up in the wind
    that 150mph + becomes a pain.

I can't say what the new (to me) Fastbag luggage is like but if it'll
fit your bike, you want to speed test it, you can collect and return
it and you're not away when I'm at the Manx GP then you're welcome to
borrow it. Apparently it hold up to 60 litres and that's a hell of a
    lot of tooth brushes.

I did an indicated 160 on a bike with both D207Rs and a tailpack fitted.

    Died instantly, of course.
