I have to say that the comments of some of the football fans quoted on
the BBC after they'd collectively smashed up Manchester[1] because a big
screen broke down were absolutely hilarious:

"It's an absolute shambles, shame on Manchester, shame on Manchester -
it's let the country down."

Oh, quite so, you mouth-breathing ****. But that was the case well
before you arrived without a ticket and got so fucking pissed you could
barely sing "The Sash My Father Wore".

It was a lot worse in the late '70s when the Windsor 'Angels' got into
a row with the other bunch and ended up being targeted then the mob
claiming the moral high ground announced that anyone associating with
Windsor could suffer the consequences. A few rallies got cancelled and
it all went quiet again. Plod getting involved is totally pointless
and they should just let them get on with it.
