http://www.activism101.org/ (not a great site but a quick lazy link)

In the menu at the side - Guide to activism, then chap 6 - 13 types
    of activism.
Depends if I decide to stay in my comfortable apathy or not.

If I'm going to pick a fight this isn't the issue I'll choose, but it
is another piece of state bullshit and population control that has me
    twitching.

No, we are the most watched population in terms of CCTV/ANPR etc.
People have been voting for Socialism for almost a Century, WTF do you
expect. The National Socialists and Soviets must be looking down with
    utter admiration.

Sadly our so called Conservatives are worth precisely SFA.

The Chinese are going in the *other* direction, just very slowly.

I meant the specific headline story today, regarding this:

    http://www.communities.gov.uk/documents/communities/pdf/787910.pdf

Blears' proposal for "community cohesion monitoring"
    heh.

Oh it's utterly horrid. I can't imagine a worse event to attend. Just
the smell would put me off.

What's that go to do with Labour?
Current Labour policies of social control are just continuing what
    Thatcher did.
Not in terms of social control. Make as much money as you like, but
    stay out of politics.

  20. Exactly. If said bloke had been shot in a back street in any city,
nobody outside of his associates would have heard about it. It would
never have hit any headlines, for sure. It was extremely stupid of the
gunman to hit the bloke on a motorway, for if he was a specified target
his home places and habits would have been known and it would surely
have been easier to take him out somewhere quieter.
