  3. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Snowleopard
    Hardly surprising, really.

There's nothing quite like upside-downy heads shooting each other on
motorways to give plod a reason to make their lives easier.

Have I missed something in the last 4 years? Since I went back to the
cage, I've only read of one such killing, and I wasn't aware that they'd
prove a gang on gang connection.

Or is it the normal case of the UK govt being too lazy to actually
prosecute people who break the law (see ASBOs, Anti-terrorism, the new
employer black list, etc.) so they just ban what they think might cause
    them any work?

  5. I think we should be taking a serious look at charging the various Chief
Constables with conspiring to pervert the course of partying.
Public Safety, my fucking arse; it's nothing more than a shabby trick to
hit out at a group of people they don't like.

Local news last night was reporting the Police have opposed the
licence for the Bulldog Bash. Apparently they reckon if it was to go
ahead, they'd need an armed cordon on all roads around the area,
    include the motorways.

So, using the same 'thinking' the police are using here, why isn't every
    football match cancelled?

    What a load of bollocks.

One block gets shot, more than a few miles from the event last year,
and this shit rains down. On this basis, London should be locked down
    every day of the year.

They use anything as an excuse to stop anyone doing anything that they
themselves don't want to do. That's have fun.

And they fucking well get away with it because of the raging apathy in this
    country.

WTF do you expect when gang violence spills out to someone being shot on
a busy motorway, and the matter clearly isn't finished. It swamped all
    the major media channels.

It seems fairly obvious from the announcement on the Rock 'n' Blues
site that what the organisers were told was that if it went ahead this
year and it did kick off then they'd never ever get a licence to do it
again, whereas if they cancelled it off their own bat they could have
    it again next year.

Well, unless the police still suspect that revenge attacks are planned
next year, and the year after, and the year ... well and so on.

On the plus side we need to remember that as we've done nothing wrong
we've nothing to fear from the law. I definately remember being
promised that, so it'll all be OK.

But since when is it acceptable that because of the actions of a few thugs
the enjoyment and freedom of the majority should be stopped by the police?

I expect them to sort out the small minority of violent offenders and
leave everyone else alone to peaceably go about their lives. Silly me :(
