If its an oldie style lead-acid type with removable plugs for topping up
then you could try battery pills from Halfrauds. They have revived a
    couple of batteries I have.

They also sell batteries, as do Hein Gericke

Seems the battery on the Zephyr is an odd bugger.

Quoted nearly £90.00 from main dealer.

Anyone any better ideas of where to get a replacement from?

You could try washing it out with battery top up water, then buying some
battery acid to fill it back up with. I heard that the build up of stuff
on the plates is soluble in water, but not when the battery has acid in it.

If, however one or more cells have failed by shorting out then you're
    fucked.

Oldbloke emerged from their own little world to say
a lawn mower shop can usually order Yuasa batteries - often a lot cheaper
    than bike dealers

    Tried ebay?
I got a new Varta battery for my GTS from ebay, half the price of a shop
    item.

Nope, the salt that forms on lead plates in batteries is one of the "least"
soluble salts known to man...(IIR my chemistry correctly)

Having said that, if its the acd thats gone off, then no reason why this
    shouldnt work.

    (Dont take the brown acid!)

    :) Ta.
Yeh, having thought about it more... shopping round for a cheaper
battery makes more sense, and will work. :)

    M&P

They offered me 2 batteries for my Divvy 900. Original at a price to big to
write down. Not the original but the same amp-hours at 28ukp, this I bought.
It works fine and seems to come with a 2 year warranty. It can be sent
through the post because it has a plastic dispenser thing with the acid in
    it.

    I thought the P&P was quite cheap, considering a battery is a heavy thing;
16 Euros from Germany to Holland (where I live).

Bad form n'all, but many thanks to all who have responded, battery code no's
from suggested sources were extremely useful..

New battery has now been ordered with local SOB emporium, will pick it up on
    Monday.

More expensive than I had hoped, but wtf.

No biking for me this weekend it seems.
