    Pop the cam cover off and have a peep, it's only 22 bolts. It'll tell
    you if you're getting ripped off for a shim check / change or not. :)

    I'd not **** about with the air screws just to tame a vibe, tbh.

    There's a lovely product designed to do the job (and save the church
    roof) called a Barsnake:

    B12s vibe, that's all there is to it. I used to get shitty numb
    hands, followed by cramp in fingers, till I realised that having a
    flexible engine means it is possible to ride around the vibes, should
    one need to.

    A mate off mine swears by this method... 'Reckons that back in the
    early 70's all the left over rockers used to hammer bits o' lead down
    the ends of the 'bars to kill the vibes... I have no first hand
    experience of this... No doubt someone here will elucidate...*
