Around 90 mph, not sure if the gearing is standard, the vibes are an
unpleasant buzz which kills headlight bulbs and numbs fingers. Is this
    par for the course?

Is the Cam Chain adjuster automatic or manual adjustment?

Any good tech resource sites for B12's on the Net?

    Hah!

6k - or 12 o'clock - being the ton on mine, you must be suffering the
dreaded 5200rpm buzz. SFA to be done with it

    Waaa Waaa

It left me with no dip beams just south of Dublin after the dash back
to Holyhead at said speeds :eek:/
Bulbs are cheaper in RoI )

I sent the crank/rods/pistons.flywheel of my R100 cafe racer to Basset
Down Balancing in Swindon many years ago. They asked a few pertinant
questions about where I wanted the unavoidable vibes to go but the end
result was like no other BMW I've ridden.
Time to do the shims then
    Ta, done

Oh I did, believe me. Dun Loughaire to my door in Holywood, in the
dark, in exactly 2 hours. That was having decided to go through Dublin
centre and with one fuel stop.

The other suggestions are most valid, however, I am always suspicious
of vibrations at 60mph and 90 mph. As these, quite often, are from the
    wheels being out of balance.

If you've not had them checked lately, it worth getting them done.

I thought the B12 was like the B6 and had screw and lock nuts. They need
look at every three or four thousand miles.

Just a thought, how up to the job is the Bandit 12s oil system when
standing on its rear wheel at high rpm?

You reckoned that junking the Tokico six pots for 4 potters was the

B12 is shimmed and doesn't need doing with the same regularity as a B6.

65mm is what the later Gixer brake centres are at, but the angle may put
the pads at right angles to the discs. Making adapter plates is a piece
    of piss.

That's strange, because it must have changed. In the 1995 to 1997
Bandits, the 6 and 123 are both screw and lock nut. My 600 is screw and
    lock nuts, and it's a 1998 model.

Yeh, that'll make sense if the oil pickup is in the same sort of place
    as the B6s one.
