It's the one I'd least like to own. I'd rather have the Golf.

I'd recommend driving one before even thinking about owning one - they're
    horrible.

Apparently the 260ZX was better and the 240ZX better still.

Personally I'd got for the Capri, but just because I love them. The Golf
(Mk I 1.8) was great fun to drive though.

then again, I've owned the rest of 'em..

Now a 240Z and I'd be a bit on the interested side. They're fun

My first car was a 240Z. Loverly car it was and it taught me two very
good lessons. One, that you're not as good a driver as you think you are
and two, bus shelters are more expensive than you think.

I, for one, find the concept of a moped/scooter having a car licence an
unsettling prospect. Though I suspect that even a fold up moped would have
trounble finding a car with a driver's seat big enough.

My first car was a MkI Astra 1300, which taught me that I hate Astras.

My 2nd car, OTOH, was my first Capri, which taught me that diesel is slippy
in the wet and that 30mph is really quite fast when there's something made
    of concrete in your way.

Funnily enough, my friend who was mentioned earlier in this thread nearly
binned his 2.8i Capri on the same corner on his first day of owning it.
Going into the corner he forgot he was in a Capri and not in his Golf GTi.

Well look at it this way. You could be in E16, eh?
I think a move to somewhere with another letter in the postcode will
    help.

Yup. You ever been up Carpenters Road? I got the distinct feeling that
there are bodies in and around that area. I very sinister feel to the
    whole place.
Well quite. When I used to live in Sussex, I had a two bedroom flat in
the grounds of a 17th century farmhouse with swimming pool, lakes and
stables and I still paid less for that place than I do for one room in a
shared house here. Oh yeah, that included the water rates and council
    tax as well!
Good luck. I can't bloody well afford to move back.
If that's the feeling you've got, it might be worth hanging on to your
pad. It could be worth a cool million in less than a decade.

Full car licence holders who passed their test before 1st February
2001 hold unconditional full moped entitlement. This means that you
can ride without "L" plates and carry a pillion. However, with effect
from 1 February 2001, all new car drivers wanting to validate the full
moped entitlement granted with their full car licence, must complete a
    CBT course.

scores of teenage and early twenties bikers rode around the block,
passed there test then bought the biggest motorcycle they could afford
and then proceeded to crash them.

    They did didn't they?

  20. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
Many of us survived. The ones who bought it, well, they were
    stupid/drunk/unlucky.
