''westexasRider'' check with an encyclopedia''--and post this response--
‘‘Accusers of liberal or conservative bias alike typically ignore
the dictionary meanings of those words (as do modern political parties).
In fact, in the current political discourse, the words seem to have
meaning that shifts depending on point of view. The Oxford American
Dictionary defines <<"liberal" >>in the political sense as "favoring
democratic reform and individual liberty>>" and <<"conservative">> in
the political sense as <<"favoring private enterprise and freedom from
    government control".>>
    </qote>
Ah, and again I quote, <<"the words seem to have meaning that shifts
    depending on point of view.">>
    There's the rub.
I guess I am an odd duck. I like 'individual liberty', 'private
enterprise' and 'freedom from government control'.
    -----Sunny
<not afraid to use an encyclopedia as backup.> Sunny----------

--====Sunny....I believe that makes you a conservative liberal, like me.
Sunny, the above explanation helps my trying to make clear on here that:
''It all depends upon ones ''point of view'' or ''views''.
I can be hard headed, and narrow minded....then on the other hand I am
an independent individual who doesnt depend upon any organizational
party for any political views..enforcing my ability to think in
broadmindedness, when and where necessary to understand what I'm
    attempting to understand <g>..
I think every issue, and every persons views, has two sides, of which we
should try to evaluate, when in a civil
    discussion..........sheeze.(complicated)

    ===JayT told this earlier.(last important paragraph)'''--Things
    couldn't be any worse.
Look what Baroma has done already, got gasolene prices down, and he aint
    even in office yet..<g> MrJayT=

---Jerry tries to explain his opinions--
MrJatT...listen---I will make another feeble attempt.
See if you can figure out the relationship between Fannie, Freddy, the
banking crisis and bailouts (other than the automakers) and the people
in Congress and his appointments in his soon to be administration.
It is somewhat complex, requiring a little thought and putting 2 plus 2
    together.
If you are unable to do that, then you have no credibility on any of
this stuff and are just spouting rhetoric from the scripted propaganda
    you watch and read.
Lets see if you have the desire and ability to seek and understand
    truth.
I know you wont get it, but if Pender helps you and you do, then for
bonus points, you can research why the automakers are in real trouble
    other than the Greedy CEOs.
This one is extra hard, requiring real thought.
No help for him on this one people.
''And a FYI, I don't read blogger one. I do search out and read the
news that does not necessarily end up on the front page.'' And I do
not waste my time with the "Tampon TV" news anymore.
They are liars. Unless you want to know about school children practicing
their "Rapping and Dancing for Peace" routine.
    ---Jerry---

    ========Thanks Jerry<!>
First, Jerry I think I know why the Auto Makers are in trouble, and it
all started start at the top a good 15 yrs ago.
Actually I realize the difference in helping the Big Three Auto
Makers''', than giving Billions to the financial moguls.
Helping the Big3... will save 1000's of jobs. ( I believe that)
Although I was for the First Bailout, hoping it woud help my wifes
401K..(but I see on MSNBC business channel, that it aint happened yet)
Atleast this time our pollyticians are trying to set regulations, and
calculate some important stipulations, in order to keep track with what
the Auto CE(ass)O's do with the money...(we, the American people
certainly hope this will be the case)
AFA, anyones news sources goes, well, that alone is an ''opinion''.
We all have various sources that we have confidence in, or like.... ''to
get our news''......however,remember all sources are written by
    writers/investgators, who compose/translate their detailed
''opinions''....of what they hear, or see, or witness!! (usually the
writers are either left handed or right handed)(get It)
( the world is made up of human opinions) (now that's my opinion)
Jerry, all of what <You> read or see, is based upon ''human
    opinions''....
Jerry, you have your opnion of what you search out, and I have my
opinion of what I see on TV, and read in the news magazines, and
papers.. and occasionally read on Honeys 'puter..(believe it or not)
Jerry surely even you do not agree with every word written by your
    favorite soCalled news journalists????
To me, Religion is so similar.
There are about 300 different religious denominations in America.
They all, 'were started or changed' by some Human's opinion of the
    Bible.
All of them have doctrines that are different from all the rest.
And just think, they all say 'their 'doctrines are exactly what the
Bible teaches them to teach and guide others....understand.
    ======my 15 cents worth......MrJayT=

I knew I would be right about you regarding this. And, there is so much
ignorance and selfishness in your reply, that I don't have, or desire to
have, time to reply to it all. But I will grab a portion of it.

I asked you for facts and relationships regarding events. Not opinions. Yet,
you come back telling me that we are entitled to our opinions.

This is your problem and a whole lot of people like you. You think an
opinion is a fact and are unable to see or know the difference. Opinions are
    not facts.

Unlike you, I don't think a show consisting of opinions that is passed off
as news is really news. It is not. No matter how much people like you want
to believe it is, it is not.

You are watching and listening to these so called news sources and getting
opinions with a lot of skewed and sometimes falsified facts. You have a lot
of opinions on your side, but damn few facts or real understanding regarding
    current events.

I do not know if you don't have the courage and will to look for truth, or
just incapable of putting together complex issues. Either way, the result is
    the same.

I suppose that is why network and cable news shows have the segments such as
"Rapping and Dancing for Peace" and "Making Fun, Inexpensive, Recyclable and
Green Toys From Tampon Containers" so the lemmings will be entertained
    within their depth.

So, I will make yet another and my last feeble attempt.
See if you can figure out the relationship between Fannie, Freddy, the
banking crisis and bailouts (other than the automakers) and the people
in Congress and his appointments in his soon to be administration.
It is somewhat complex, requiring a little thought and putting 2 plus 2
    together.

Or keep gathering up those Tampon containers for the schoolchildren.

======The above, is your opinion. Jerry do you disagree with my opinion
of what the main difference is with 'helping the Big3, vs
helping/bailingout the financial moguls/wallstreet and whoever else got
    'em some monopoly money?.
(when I say monopoly money, it means the Feds just print all the money
they want to, but most of us wonder where it comes from...maybe borrowed
from china, or just ordinary monopoly type)
Do you disagree about my personal views on most of the CEO's in
question, the ones who are in the news lately??? Do you disagree that
CE(ass)O's can be greedy, and some have beaten folks out of their
retirements? over? Give me an old fashion opinion. jayT=

If it isn't CNN or MSNBC giving you your opinion, you would not have one
will you. How come it does not bother you that you are being manunipulated
and spoon fed information to control you? Are you such a non free person
that it is ok and you need someone to direct your thinking? Plantation
Niggers come to mind and how they just could not leave their masters and the
plantation when freedom was there for the taking. Regardless if you believe
me or not, you are being controlled by your media habits. If you have any
ounce of spark left, at least look back at how you were manipulated by
tagging you as an independent and how important you were and part of
something big. How that made you feel special and almost powerful. Almost
daily by the media to keep you engaged and guaranteeing your vote. You were
led like a pack animal with a carrot tied to a stick in front of his
face.Don't deny it, you posted regarding you Independents often and how the
election hinged on you. Your importance was given to you by someone else.
Even non independents claimed they were so they could be part of this media
manufactured importance. You have been nationalized into a group of brain
dead followers. At least we have riding motorcycles in common.

I am done with this waste of time.

-----Jerry wrote a sizable blog type response, but I cut to the chase,
and copied/cut and pasted <His> last paragraphed opinion, of which
probably sums up jerrys ongoing narrowminded'ness, and his attempt to
convince me, and about 56% of America''that we are wrong, and our
opinions are worthless'' (here it is)

=========== Mr Jerry:Your entire response, in my opinion, was a non
discussable blogged 'like'personal opinion. As far as I am
concerned..you chose not to give a dicsuss-able opinion of anything I
    actually said to you, whether it be agreeable or disagreeable;
Jerry you chose to go off on a rampage of old '' southern, KKK, holier'
than thou, and such prejudiced 'sounding phrases, rebel rouszing'', old
stubborn, lop sided, ol'farts rhetoric.'' lmao
I, like you am done with it.
However, I know you dont like the ''middle'' of anything, perhaps maybe
you would meet me half way (the middle area between our cities)
somewhere, and we could see the movie ''Valkyrie''.
Kidding.(it ant' gonna happen, not enuff time between now and
NY09)...But,the idea and thought sounds' good..
Jerry I do wanna see the Movie, do you know what it is about? I'm sure
you've researched the topic of the Movie. I was lucky enought to have
seen a Documentary about the ''topic'' on the Bio channel...''of''
''course'' ..you.. didnt get to see it...and if 'you did, 'you
    wouldnt've believe one word of it..(kiddin'ya') <g> (;->
