Monday Logic - What are you worth

I'm treading water this morning preparing for a skirmish in the afternoon.
Leafing idly through the BBC website this jumped out. OK it's not exactly
new but it's a great idea.

"Hospital cleaners are worth more to society than bankers, a study suggests.
The research, carried out by think tank the New Economics Foundation, says
hospital cleaners create £10 of value for every £1 they are paid"

I'll be kind to myself and rank myself up with the Cleaners but I can think
of some well paid jobs I've done that were worth "a lot less".

As I used to walk to work in the mornings, I'd see the street cleaners
and the like, doing useful stuff, and I was quite jealous. I felt guilty
getting paid heaps of cash for basically sitting on my arse doing
something utterly pointless (writing anti-virus software). It's one of
the reasons I packed it in. That and the bastards wouldn't give me any
more holiday.

 

Tasty food for thought.
I can't imagine they'll ever get Cabinet input with this as part of
their mantra;
