Sorry - didn't make myself clear - the latter. And as you know, surfing
for porn without knowing not to click on the "Click here for more free
porn" active-X controls results in sick PCs.
I bought the Shuttle "Quite PSU" and a 16dB mainfan, and a "silent"
fluid bearing HD. It's very quite. I mean, you can hear it if you
listen for it, but it's quieter, say, than a VCR or cheap DVD player.
Heat doesn't seem to be a problem, but it's out in the open, sitting on
the floor, rather than being stuffed in a cupboard.

Terrible to have to say it but I agree with you. Innit a sad comment on
    our world eh?

Fortunately my kids grew up believing that computers were the spawn of
the devil and anyone using them would get spots and that music should be
live. And anyway there wasn't the Internet 10 years ago like there is
    today.

MJ was burnt when filming a Pepsi commercial and a firework went off at the
    wring time, or something.

Do you need a 'net connection for other than the EPG? If not then a simple
software firewall to block port 80 should do the trick.

Mother of Ed "Stewpot" Stewart. Jailed in America last year for using irony

OK, I'll just have to source it elsewhere. Tho I'm not sure I've got
time to watch anything that takes ten DVDs...
    This one : http://www.usbuirt.com/
    as recommended here:
    http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Config.ChannelChanger
I'm not using it much as a PC, mostly cos the display of windows on my
Sony PC is pretty terrible - can't run it any bigger than 800x600, and
it still looks awful. Anyway, the cheap wireless keyboard and optical
mouse I bought is doing the job ok, with the mouse working fine just
moving it across the arm of the sofa!

I gave up on DH after 6 or 7 episodes - it just seemed to go round and
    round in the same circles.
I mostly use the old fashioned technique called looking-in-the-paper,
tho I browse the EPG to see if there's any bike racing on M&M or
    Eurosport.

Like Nigella Lawson, but American, and less shaggable[1]

[1] although word is that la Lawson owes a lot to her make-up artist

I read in an interview in Sunday's Observer that she has a fat arse.

    I'd still **** her, though.

Was that her opinion? Cos most women think they've got a fat arse.

Well it's not exactly petite, but I'd give it one...
especially if she could turn around and give one of those 'naughty'
looks she's so good at while I was at it.
