Mirror for viewing trailer?

Has anyone see anything like this on the market? I was thinking of
something which sticks to the rear-windscreen of the car at the top
and gives you a view of the hitch and the trailer load. Probably with
    a slight convex lens.

  2. Don't most of those innovations type catalogues have these as parking
aids? A sort of prism type lens that does just what you say. I've no
idea how effective they might be.

    Lots of grey-import 4x4s & MPVs have a kind of mirror-on-a-stick that
would do the job. A visit to your local grey emporium may turn up
trumps - or possibly Halfords, BoyRacers-R-Us etc.

If you've got a 4WD which carries its spare wheel on the rear door, I've
got a spare spare wheel cover which carries a mirror (with a convex
lens), which would allow you to do precisely this.

I have got on of them things hanging off the back of the Mongvan. I get
a perfectly distorted view of the left hand side of the back bumper
    through it, crap it is.

    The Mirrors are not allowed!
They are illegal for road use in UK.

Really? I guess plod don't take much notice, judging by the number I
see. They do look fucking stupid, mind.

I had one on a Toyota and it was brilliant for parking.
They are considered dangerous. Could put a van drivers eye out?
They must be removed from an import vehicle to pass the SVA test.

I was thinking of something on the *inside* if the rear screen.
I was thinking cheap and cheerful.

Get one of those things that old gimmers use for parking. I've got one
on my Mundano and it works.
