    Ick.

Nice not having my head torn off at speed, and the handling's lovely
and all that, but where's the power? Rev the tits off it and it still
doesn't feel much better than M&S's Fazer 600. I even found it easy
to stick to the speed limit, ffs.

I'll try it again in daylight and without a rucksack (wasn't expecting
the riding position to be that daft!) but I'm not holding my hopes up.

This is a 2K model, are the current ones much better?

Only if they've got 400 more cc.

The bloke who's lent me this (or, rather borrowed my garage for
a few days and left me the keys, iyswim) also has a thou, but
forgot to bring that to work today so I'm stuck with the 6.

Still, at least now he owes me a favour... ;)

Those TT timings would seem to rather disprove this.

    Eh?

No GSXR600 in the Senior, or the Formula 1 this year, though one did
come 2nd in the 6000cc Production race.

They may be faster round a racetrack, but they're fucking horrible to
ride IRL, with no power below 7000rpm.

The word oggers used was "better", and I maintain that a gixxer thou is
a "better" bike than a gixxer six.

Come on - dwb bites when there's someone walking down the towpath. It's
    hardly an achievement.

You really have to thrash them to get the best. Keep the revs above
10K and it will be fine. They have sublime handling though.

It's the average speeds that I found intersting.

And I wasn't just looking at GSX-R600's - I was looking at all the 600's.
