[1] has asked if I know any massive
motorcyclists. Amusingly, the qualification threshold is 18 stone. Not what
I would call massive by UKRM standards. 75th percentile perhaps.

[1] should get him a reply or two from the spambots

maybe it wasn't spam - maybe he's just heard you're a bit of a bloater.

    I certainly didn't get it.

I usually wouldn't consider a specific email from someone vaguely
recognisable in the first instance to be spam - I'd at least enquire where
    they got the details from.

But I haven't got an email either :)

Oh and TOG probably gave him the email addresses in the first place :)

dwb emerged from their own little world to say
The email wasn't from SH directly. It was from some marketing company
and linked to a Zoomerang.com survey where SH asks for the contact
details of bloaters as Darsy puts it. I thought it odd that a genuine
email address appeared next to the text box of the survey.

Heh and thanks. I may be a fat ****[1] but I'm considerably under their
    threshold.

    [1] BMI over 30.

To quote SH circa 1997, after he crashed Performance Bike's Bandit
1200, after attempting to wheelie it out of a roundabout:

"I didn't really know what I was doing".

I expect he knows as much about the Internet as he does about bikes.

that's just "fat", I guess, rather than full-on bloater.

BMI over 30 is officially obese. I need to grow 3 inches in height or lose
about 18lbs to be "just fat" :)

You reckon? I doubt it very much indeed. My guess would be closer to
    90th.

  15. I thought I was a bloater when I hit 15 stone. And my arthritis
specialist did too. Much dire warnings about joint damage with
    increased weight followed :-(

Still - I'm now back to a sylphlike 12 stone.

THat's what worries me about my various joint aches and pains - I haven't
got an awful lot of weight to lose and it's highly likely I'm going to get
anything but larger as I get older.

Or he could use an "un" which is cheaper as it isn't a complete word.
