Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the
river cleaned out in a day.

If you're using news. or something similar, try changing it to the IP
(80.5.182.99). The DNS has been screwed for a while, but it works fine
    off the IP.

Michael jackson is deid => abbreviated to Michael jackson's deid

.... was correct when I went to school

It's a contraction, just like "it's" being short for "it is"

If you're going to be a pedantic ****, at least get it right

And you'd have described it how - "wet, brown, tastes of whisky"? Not
everyone drinks whisky because they're thirsty.

I don't drink whisky, but if I did it'd be because I'm chemically
    addicted to ethanol.

I would describe it in terms of tastes and scents - sweet, salty, like
carbolic etc. So how does distant thunder taste and smell? Now, a
lightning strike might make a smell that I can associate with whiskies
    but distant thunder? No.

At best he's describing something that he associates with distant
thunder and that has to be a personal experience. How's that supposed
to give me an idea of what that whisky is like? If I give someone an
Islay malt and tell them that it is very peaty and they may find it a
bit like carbolic I find they usually agree.
