Mine were 800 and something quid two years ago. Worn the suit once.
Worn the trousers a few times. This is no reflection on the quality
of the kit (it's superb) I just can't be arsed.

Fair enough, one and all. I shall prolly go GLF assuming I can ever get
    off this plateau.

    Cheers

The whole company? FFS - why didn't you say before I bought them.
    It's going to take *ages*.

I dunno, the company is called Carillion now and they have a lot less
people working for them than when they were Tarmac.

  6. acksherly, only half the company is Carillion (the building division),
the other half stayed as Tarmac, ie roads, quarries etc.

"On November 5 1999, Tarmac announced that it would cease to be an
independent company after the board accepted an offer to acquire the
business from Anglo American plc, one of the world's largest mining
    and natural resource companies."

Carillion had been demerged in the preceding July.

Carillion was all the non-Tarmac-typical bits of the business, iirc.

i.e. the money making bits (construction services) not the rubbish
    (building materials)

Yeah, something like 4 of the 7 companies for the old Tarmac group are
now Carillion (roads, pf, buildings and summat), quarries etc are
    still Tarmac.

Indeed. My Dad was quite senior in Carillion until late last year.
