It's true - Miama is home to the worst customs people anywhere, IME.
Really obnoxious on the 'please do _not_ step over the line, Sir' type
of thing. Very threatening indeed.

Not the first person this has happened to. My wife's senior boss
(board level) is barred from the US as he has a similer name (or
something) to someone thought to have terrorist connections. He's not
too upset about it (although he was at the time) as it means he just
gets out of having to travel there, which has got to be a good thing
in anyone's book...
