ME Z4 and ME Z3? What's the difference and which Bridgestone or Dunlop
tyres can they be compared to please?

  2. Don't bother with MEZ4s, I had them on the CBR when I bought it and they
    were shit :)

I couldn't wait to change them and even though they were slightly worn
when I bought the bike, they only had 2,000 miles left in them after
    that.

    Whinging Courier says...
So I can compare those to a D204?

<hurridly strikes those off the list>

  4. I've never had D204s, but I guess so.
I was looking at AV35/AV36s front and rear but as they're priced cheaper
than the MEZs I'm unsure as to whether I should bother at all.

I looked there, but it didn't give too much away. I prefer personal
opionions anyway, any manufacturer can hype their own products up.

    Thanks for the comparisons

  8. I had MEZ4's on my old VFR750F at one point - never liked 'em. Not a patch
on BT56 front and BT57 rear.

Here you go Loz, I found this site quite handy in sorting what tyre for
    what.
Can't say that it tells you whether they're good or not tho'

No no no, MEZ4 is their rim protector - you simply cannot compare a MEZ4 to
    an 020.

My FJR1300 came with MEZ4's as standard. Horrible tyres. They let go
on a cold december morning at jut 15mph. Probably good is spanish
test track heat, but the UK winter? Never.

Guessing a (bad) equivilant to 020's.

Do it faster. I had MEZ4s on the SV as the OEM tyre. They lasted 5000
miles (front and back) and didn't grip nearly half as well as the
BT020s that replaced them. The 020s lasted 9k miles.

Used to be good, but these are the folks that messed me around when I
was trying to get some 010s.

    Monday: We'll have them tomorrow.
    Tuesday: We'll have them tomorrow.
    Wednesday: We won't have them for 4 to 5 months, I don't know who's
told you otherwise, why don't you try an 012 - that's the replacement
    sport-touring tyre?

Used to be good, but service and price is highly dependant on who you
    speak to in the place.
