I've hardly had any since I came out of hospital. I think this may be
why the Nick Griffin thing has got me so irate - I'm absolutely wired
    and buzzing.
Did you go to the docs? If not why not?

Been referred to the Neuro Dept and Eye Clinic. Both Optician and Doc
reckon I might have had a smaller TIA at some point, hence the double
vision getting worse and the minging migraines. I can't recall any
particular day when I felt bad enough to have been suffering the
slightest of TIAs, so don't know how they came to that conclusion. I
have normal days and bad days when I just can't seem to function at
all, so I go back to sleep for an hour and then I'm fine.

So it's back for scans and to try and work out if I need surgery on my
eyes to stop one of them from wandering when I try to focus. Apparently
the muscles at the sides of my eyes are not functioning properly, so
when I look at something both eyes focus, then the left one drifts
outwards and down almost straight away. If they can't find a
prescription that works then it's surgery time to have adjustable
sutures put in so they can tweek my eye over and lock it in place.

I feel fine in everything else and even woke myself up in the middle of
the night a few days ago with my left arm doing the spazz-dance with
full-on pins and needles up the whole length. I haven't felt a thing
like that properly in 3 1/2 years.

Are you burning them as data ie .avi or converting to DVD. If the
latter then Nero is pretty shite at that. Best thing I ever did
vis-a-vis watching .avi on a real TV was to buy DVD players that
    support DivX and Xvid.

    U torrent
    The latter.
I have no idea if this DVD does or not. I'm only learning the
technical stuff as tech support is leaving home.

There's a list of certified stuff here
http://www.divx.com/products/products.php but neither of mine is on
it. It should say in the manual or perhaps will say MPEG4 support. I
think this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139176 is the updated version
    of one pf mine.

  10. That's a pity - it really is fit and forget.

Probably down to a couple of uknova torrents reaching the share target
and dropping off the active uploads.

  12. I've just upgraded utorrent to 1.8 on a networked machine and it
immediately navigated the n/w, latched on to ukrm nova and resumed
downloading 'engineman.avi' that had been interrupted months ago and
couldn't complete because the old utorrent went into a sulk on the
    network.
Coincidentally, I assume you've made a change that means I no longer
have to log in - because I didn't.

Statto did an upgrade some time ago that introduced key codes in the
tracker URL to save the logging in bollocks

  14. Right, ta.
This one probably had it in already, in that case.
I had no trouble at all with utorrent on the gateway machine - it worked
fine in all versions, as expected, and on the n/w pc it was ok for ages
then it went tits up and nothing could persuade it to connect until v1.8
    and I changed nothing.

  15. I've installed the torrentflux. It says it's installed and working ok.
Stick a torrent address in it and it looks all happy and cosy and
functioning, but everything stays at 0%.

I'll have to try a known good torrent on another machine for reference.

The site's now running V2 of torrenttrader, which supports passkeys -
in theory this means that logging in is a thing of the past.
