Not much to report other than Mena is still there..still looks the same other than its alot greener than the last time I went and it was wet. We left early Thursday morning and it rained from the time we left Canton, TX to the time we went to bed in Mena, AR that night. We rode the Talimena highway even though it was raining. I didnt even get pulled over on this trip. I figured one of those law dogs would have pulled us over for going to slow. Friday morning we awoke to NO RAIN. It didnt rain a drop on us all day. We rode the Talimena highway and then we rode over to Octavia and visited with my once by marriage uncle. He took us all around and showed us his horses and his new barn that was being built and also his new 150 acre hay field. We got the grand tour of his newly remodeled house and looked at some pictures. Had a nice visit. This was the first time my little brother had seen our once by marriage uncle in probably 25 years or better. My uncle got quite a shock when he learned who was with me. When we left my once by marriage uncles house, we rode back on the road that goes around the bottom side of the mountains (highway 270) I think and hit the Talimena Highway and headed to the Lodge. We met a friend of mine for lunch and he had 5 of McKinneys finest with him. Two of them rode Goldwings, two of them rode Royal Ventures and one was on a big Harley. They came in on the Talihena end so we rode with them to Mena and gassed up and we headed back to Canton. I decided to spend the night there again since my father worked me to death yesterday. Thats about it. Redshad
