Because a casual bored-Thursday-afternoon bid leads to buying things
    like this:

    110238970691 (ShiteOldGS750 that looks serviceable)

Well, if it turns out to be a complete crock of shit, I reckon it's
worth a bit as a breaker. The Krauser kit alone is £200 worth, second-
    hand.

Lozzo, if you're reading this: the geezer has a spare seat pan in good
nick. What would you want for building a nice, say, sports seat onto
it? Not something that looks stock, but something with a bit of
padding for my ample arse, and perhaps a scallop for the rider like
one of those aftermarket Le Mans seats?

Anyway, payment can be in cash or kind.

Want any aircooled RD piston rings? I've got dozens of sets. Some
stainless steel custom headlight mounts for the SpazzTrakka? They
pinch up so they'll fit just about any diamater of fork stanchion.

    Werthers Originals?

Following the Puch Grand Prix moped refurbishment I would give another
vote for POR15. In the end I used the kit from Frosts. The pre-cleaner
that came with it removed gunge even Lozzo's cola soak method hadn't
    worked on.

Doesn't look too bad for a Thursday afternoon special...

  5. We shall see. It's all of three miles away, as well, which is nice.

  6. This bit didn't raise any warnings then?

"sale due to presure from wife [to many m/cycles]"

Actually, it looks pretty decent. Better than my GS550 ever looked; mind,
that was bought from a breaker.

I did wonder about this. But then he's had it for 20 years, so fair
    enough.
It looks OK in the pix. I'm not expecting it to look as good in the
metal, but I don't really GAF at that price.

Oh yeah. The geezer I bought the 400 Four from had a *lovely* Grand
Prix in his garage. Original, unrestored, unmolested. Bronze, it was.
Not the GPD model with the disc brake: the one before that. It sounded
    spot-on, as well.

    In communiqué
I forgot to type 'tank', between moped and refurbishment. The same Puch
tank that I first used in 1981 is now gracing the Forgotten Era hill
climb Morini. Lighter, and a sort of scaled down proper tank rather than
the little cans some specials use.

Sorry squire, I don't have the tools or facilities to do that kind of
thing any more. Fitting a new cover wouldn't be a problem, but I don't
have access to foam and a sewing machine that's up to the job.

Isn't there a used Guiliari 2-4 seat out there for it?

Probably. We've got a local upholsterer: I might try them. Thanks
    anyway.

Maybe TOG's trying to corner the bike market in Sarf Lunnon?

Just about. I'll pop round on TMS[1], and he's agreed he'll ride it
back for me as I can't arrange insurance in time.

Me too, I had the demo from the dealer where I worked, I was about
eighteen, spent the weekend posing around on it, must have been one of
    the first in the country.
