    Hi all
Just want to spread the word about a funny little place who repaired the zip
on my leather pants for a red note. This place was suggested to me by the
    good folk at Medal Shoes

The address is Rear 195 Smith St Fitzroy Vic and the phone number is (03)
    9419 3392

I don't know the gents name but get the idea he is on his own, the buisness
    is called Z&L Leather Garments.

    :p

  2. Medal Shoes still going??
Damn, I remember getting my first pair of Medal Boots from Tony in 1968,
    they lasted two years,
then I got a second pair, still have them and still wear them on the odd
    occasion
    Is Tony still there?

  3. Just out of curiosity, did the guy have a Polish/Russian accent?
I used to go to a guy in Elwood called Z Leathers but he just disappeared ....
always did great work, gave great service & didn't rip you off.

    Yes and yes.
You must have got a bad pair, everyone tells me I should expect 15 years of
    use out of the boots.

Medal shoes also make the boots for the Victoria Police and Australia Post.

Medal shoes are now found at the back of
    160 Gertrude St Fitzroy 3065 VIC, (03) 9419 4374...

Possible, try calling him. He did have an accent and loved it when I called
him The Doctor. Also informed me that my leathers were made in Pakistan.
