[Melb] Shoei TZ1 helmet price

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Mark Chanic Jnr, Jul 24, 2003.

  1. Need to replace my helmet.

And finding the name brands aint cheap!

I have a Shoei shaped head so I dont have much choice.

What's the best price anybody in Melbourne has seen for the plain coloured
    Shoei base model TZ1 ?

Hopefully the price is coming down now that the TZII is out.

    thanks

Prom previous threads in ausmoto and my own experience $480-$500 is about the
going rate for a Shoei TZ1.

I'm told[1] that the new HJC CL-12 is very similar to a Shoei in shape.
They're thermoplastic but they come with a Snell certification, and retail
is about $390 so you'll probably find them a bit cheaper.

It's worth a look, at any rate! ;-)
