Where: Elizabeth St. (between Little Lonsdale St. & A’Beckett St.)

A Centenary of Motorcycling in Elizabeth St, Melbourne - This unique precinct
celebrates its 100th Anniversary on 8th November 2003. The event will bring
thousands of people to the oldest motorcycling precinct in the world. It will
create a spectacular impression taking us back through the history of
    Motorcycling.

Thousands of riders will make the pilgrimage to the largest event in this famous
street since the Toy Runs of the 1980s. The Lord Mayor of Melbourne, John So,
will mark the occasion with the opening at 12 midday. A Memorabilia Display will
unveil historic photographs, extensive editorials. Guest Speakers will captivate
audiences as blokes on a Soap Box reminisce over times gone by. There will be on
display 100 motorcycles representing each year from 1903. A "Peoples Choice"
trophy will be awarded to the best bike chosen by the public. Various sections
along Elizabeth St will host the competition bikes of the period along with War,
    Army & Fire Brigade displays.

It will be a spectacular occasion heralding 100 years of Motorcycling, in facets
that take on a different meaning for every rider. Meeting in Elizabeth St was
what the boys did on Saturday mornings. Family picnics with a side car, Trails,
Speedway, Track racing. It will certainly demonstrate that the passion for
    motorcycling lives on.
