re: Netrider Shopping Night/ Ringwood, last night.

Last night saw well over 60 people showing up at BikeMart.
Brian called me earlier this morning, very happy with how things went and
saying that if those who were there had as good a night as BikeMart had, we
    should do it again.
He only regretted not having enough staff behind the counter when things got
    to the pointy end.

It seemed that things turned out as intended and hoped for, mixing the
    social aspect with the shopping...
Good stuff, thanks to all who were there and made it worthwhile to
themselves as well as for the BikeMart crew.
Seeing new and old faces alike was good.

    cheers

and woooooot! to Dale, good to see you back on the bike, have you got the Al
    stains off it yet?

Gasp! - you mean to say that Dale has fitted the grips so they bypass
the ignition switch? - shock... horror ;)

Johno <glad that kitty will have warm hands when she belts him> ;p

Hehe Connecting it to the battery had more to do with a certain lass demanding she have the grips
fitted in time for her using the bike at 4am the next morning, and I had a small amount of time to
do it before I went to work.

Plus I'm mechanically very good, but I'm an electrical klutz! And I'm a little wary of fiddling
    around the H.I.S.S. crap.

she who rules supreme and cooks the dinner ;)
nah not too difficult at all

head to jaycar they have the relays and the connector then just a matter of
    joining some wires

fuel pump or ignition coil would be a good place to get the power to
activate the relay or headlight or tail light can do as well (but would
only work when lights are on using those squash connectors , then wire goes
to frame for ground and another wire connects to battery and out other side
of relay to supply grip power

switch goes in the line to activate the relay to switch them on or off

    relay $5.30

    connector base and wiring $5.90

calls avoided to RACV and Dale looking like an Idiot
    Priceless

    :)

If you have lights on all the time, run a relay from the tail light
    circuit.

  17. Yep - perzackerly where I have the Busa's grips connected to - mainly
coz it was the only 12V rail I could find, everything else seemed to
    be 5V ... ferking pooters.
