    Hey Glitch

I'm on my second pair of those as the first ones, the leather seemed to wear
prematurely around the shift pads and joins in the leather. Did the pair you
    had have this problem ???

I'm thinking of taking them back ( again ) and getting a refund and buying
    something else .

    Just doing some "market research"

    Cheers.

    Taking them back?
    After 15 years or so?
It's a pair that was never worn by the original owner, given to me, never
    wore 'em.
They were brandnew but dusty from standing around in the garage and getting
chucked from one corner into the next.
The steel caps had gone "blind" from age.
    Well...they're gone now.

    cheers

Oh, yeah, Limbot. As if you ride enough to wear out boots!

    <Snif>....you never call.

Oops, sorry Glitch. I meant the W2, didn't even see the Rossis ....DOH !

I bought a pair of these W2 April 2003, less than a year later the leather
had started wearing around the shift pad and the sole joint. I swapped them
over with the ship about Feb 2004 and the pair I have now are doing the same
thing, but not as bad. It's not bad, but not quite what I expected from a
pair of boots. I've got other bush walking boots for like 15 years that have
been everywhere and while they don't look new, they don't exhibit this sort
of wear. Might just be the way I "wear them"

Suppose you probably won't tell me anyways as you're trying to sell them :)

    Coney,

yeah, wearing out when I've never even worn them on the bike, just around
    the kitchen :p

Doesn't sound so good to me.

I've never called you, but you promised you'd call me !!!!!!

No, haven't had a problem with the W2's at all, only thing was that the
shift-pad on the left had a strong edge at the back which dug into the foot
a bit when walking (and when the boot was new), so I changed that. Apart
from that ...the boots hardly show any wear ( then again, had them parallel
to another pair which HAS worn out after 4years, Alpinestars btw) and never
gave any trouble. Dry feet, too.

    ???

    cheers
