I'm thinking (I put it no stronger than that) of buying a Volvo.

Will anyone still talk to me?

I used to own a 240 estate. It didn't make any difference.

I suspect that people have other reasons for not talking to
    me though.

    I've driven a Volvo.

My brother is FD for Volvo Trucks.

I don't suppose I have any grounds to ignore you, really.

I understand that there's someone who will but only if you put ears on
    the roof.

Since I came out and admitted to owning one, the response has been lukewarm.
My advice would be if you are going to get one, get a fast one or else
you'll have the worst of both worlds; no friends and a boring car.

  7. Your only saving grace is that trucks are generally more
biker-friendly. However, as a penance you should be made to swap your
bike for BMW C1 *and* have to wear helmets with an assortment of
    stick-on ears.

    heh

Have you met them? Or is it case of looking up 'Boring' in the Yellow Pages
    where it says 'see Engineers'.

   ))

Yes I have.. I thought that I had a sort of drunken boring engineed magnet
in me when I used to go to Sweden. I'd end up in a place, getting a pizza
for tea (for example), and end up talking to the most pissed and boring
engineer that worked for Nokia, Saab, Ericsson, HP or Volvo.

I bought it. A 940 estate wivva slush box.

Duller than a dull thing, but it's a cage. They're *supposed* to be
    dull.

Anyone good with non-functional CD autochangers? It loads the disks, but
    won't play them.

I *think* so. It's pretty tidy, drives very nicely and cost 650 quid.

Surely the ears should go on the C1? It could be the only time they
actually make the rider look cooler.

I used to work for Ericsson, doing the same sorts of stuff I think. If
you've been to Stockholm in the past 10 years... we may have met.. :)
