Oh... it's you. Now I remember. I thought they took everything sharp
    away from you.

Obviously due to your command of English being vestigial at best, you
don't see the humour in many posts. Sad.

I thought he was being ironic.

But then I noted the poster's name...

They apparently took all your sharps away, including your scissors.

And why, prey tell, can't you start a sentence with the word 'and'?

We could grade your posts. My English teacher said I used too many
commas, and if I overdid them he would give me an A- instead of an A+.
    Harsh, but effective.

"Whilst it is acceptable to use "And" or "But" to start a sentence,
this practice should be limited and only used for effect and impact.
If you find yourself using them too often, you should consider changing
    the style of your writing."

This is a direct quote from:

but as it was at the bottom of the page, maybe you didn't read that far?

  15. Whoopie. So why did you feel inclined to mention it? What sort of journo
starts with "I had my VIP pass...." Of what possible relevance is that?

    Why should I?

If you know the rules of grammar and syntax you are permitted to break
    them. For effect.

    Like this.

    And like this.

Oh, if you want to get into a pissing war about written English, you
don't capitalise the word "stewards". Sorry, sweetie. You started
sentences after commas as well. Your spelling wasn't top-notch, either.
For a supposed journalist, this isn't good.

No, it wasn't. If it had been purely a critique of Excel, you'd not have
carried all the stuff about tat stalls. Nor how pleasant the exhibitors
    were.
Sorry, sweetie, but it would appear, on the face of it, that I'm
performing rather better here than you.

  20. Exactly. And, but, because and so are supposedly verboten at the start
of sentences, but can be used for effect.
