Well, Zebee didn't show up to this months MCC meeting, so, you get to hear what happened at the meeting from me. And I'm bad at taking notes, so it will all be a bit short and to the point. Apologies: It was one _quiet_ meeting. The smallest I've been to yet. About half the normal number. Not sure what the story was. Maybe everybody was still hung over from Mardi-gras or something. Blood Challenge: We WON!!! Showed them coppers who's boss, gave them the drubbing they deserved, and beat them by 99. (Woo hoo!) I'm going to try to arrange a photo of the trophy, so that I can post a pic up. Genera: Eastern Creek round of Aust Superbikes have a deal on at the moment, where if a group of you buy 10 tickets, you will get 2 extra free tickets, and 10 hats for free too. Email for more info. Brian Wood's (Road Safety Council) Report. Brians report was given in his absence this time. Brian went to a Motorcycle Focus Day in the southern highlands, along with a few other people from MCC. Unfortunately it was mostly about that specific area, and didn't really have much to do with the whole of NSW in general. There was lots of talk about Macquarie Pass though, so don't be surprised if there is a blitz there sometime soon. Parking: There has been some movement on the parking front. A couple of blokes from the MCC went and met with a Parking guy from Sydney City council, and spoke about parking in general and also parking especially for couriers. There is a suggestion that there could be some more parking coming our way, and also some special 10 minute parking bays coming our way in the not-too-distant future. Noise: Ulysses are having their AGM in Canberra. About 5000 old crusty bikers are expected. Chris and Guy from MCC met with the NSW head of Highway Patrol about the noise issue this month, with that very event in mind. The head of the Highway Patrol basically explained to them, that as far as he was concerned, muffler labels was wayyyyyy down his list of priorities, but he still couldn't tell his officers not to do people for it, because it's the law, and so it's out of his hands. Also, you might have read that the noise law changes from Christmas Eve have now been overturned. This means, that YOU NEED A STICKER on your aftermarket pipes in NSW again. That might sound like a bad thing, but it's actually a good thing, because the whole EPA environment policy is now coming under fire, so they are starting to get very touchy, and it looks like they might have to give in. Incidentally, the motion for the noise stuff was voted 23 to 17. The 23 peoples names can be found..... HERE Send them a thankyou. They're our supporters, and so we should show our appreciation. Eaglevale: Apparently, there are rumours (not yet substantiated) that in Eaglevale, the cops are pulling people, and asking them to come down to the local station for a noise test. If you are riding in the area, carry a camera, and if they pull you like that, take lots and lots of photos. In fact, if you get pulled for anything noise related, the MCC want to hear about it. Email me any details (jamesmayfield"at"oztralia.com) and I can pass them on. Bathurst: The MCC need volunteers for Bathurst again this year. See my other post for more details. Ok, I think that's about it. What did I miss? Any questions?
