  1. Some films need the total immersion you get in cinemas though.
    Although there are a small number of "good" seats in cinemas,
    and a lot of crap seats...

    No. They don't.
    This is probably true, but I've never been in one that's as comfy as
    my armchair in front of the telly, over which I have complete control
    of volume or even to pause while I get another beer from the kitchen.

    Never read it, wished I had. Scanned my son's copy and realised it was
    best left.

    I read The Catcher in the Rye about 5 years ago and realised it was a
    mistake. I should have read that at 14 or so and moved on, as you say.

    Mind you, Toad of Toad Hall and the Narnia series are a completely
    different kettle of fish...
