It's now official and Honda have stated they will be giving Max
preferential treatment, his first test is in Malaysia 23,24,25 Jan.

"Biaggi was confirmed yesterday as team-mate to Nicky Hayden at the
factory Repsol Honda team and the Japanese company’s Sport Manager said
the Italian will be receiving maximum support.

“HRC has to pull in one direction otherwise we will lose again so it is
important that we follow one rider,” stated Fiorani.

“It is the way Honda have always worked. The input of all the riders is
important to take back to Japan and use for development with the test
riders, but the benefit of that development has to be focussed on one
    person.

“It was the same with Mick Doohan, the same with Valentino Rossi and it
will be the same with Max Biaggi. His style is very clean, very
technical, and we think he is suited to this role.”"

He still won't beat Rossi. (flame deflector shield, full power, now,
    now, now)

Which is fine until Sete starts pulling ahead of Max and Tamada ahead of
    Hayden.

Not confident at all. But can't you just see it playing out? It could so
easily end up around mid season with Rossi just in front of Sete and Max
trailing by 15 points. And Honda in internal turmoil because they don't
know what to do about it except give Max the latest good bits and hold
back Sete. In fact Murphy's Law, means that this announcement makes it a
    certainty. ;-)
