Made perfect sense to me - race engine blows up right where the engine
builder works, spare engine is in Chelters. Ship spare to Island with
mate's assistance, fit it, continue with enjoyment and drop blown race
engine with engine builder to sort and ship back to Chelters when done.
    Ride home.

    What's daft about that?

    yesterday.

He might need Slick50 to digest a Slic bill for a full race motor repair and
    rebuild

    [1] Well, I knew what I meant![2]
[2] He missed a day's racing on account of it being postponed yesterday
when he was there, to today, when he isn't.

And some of us spent the whole day sitting around with a pit board
    waiting for you to start.

Stupid planning though, running the lightweights first.

it's my destiny. Though when I played bass, I was also a bit of a
    slapper.

I suppose the "where could a nasty surprise come from?" mindset is a bit
couter-productive in racing, anyway, isn't it?

It's better when it's *really* foggy and you've got a pillion telling
you where to open the bike up.
