I know these are the cage of choice for some on here. So why does
every one I've passed in the last three months seem to be driven by
either a chinless wonder or an old bloke with a cloth cap? And why do
they seem to be limited to 60 mph?

Don't complain, most cars seem to be limited to 45.

Surely you realise the only way to infiltrate is to fit in...

He does, that's why he owned an SV650.

Yeah, yeah. A very shiny bright yellow example appeared along our
road, but I'd never seen it driven until the other day. As I was
walking the dog, said MX-5 appeared, indicating to enter the driveway.
I hung around as the dog conveniently had a sniffing session with the
nearest lamp post, and watched. The door opened, a shiny black shoe
appeared, daintily pointed ... followed by a tweed suit and an old fart
with white hair and beard, wearing a trilby.

"Don't fancy yours, mate," muttered His Dogness, suddenly finding it
much easier to progress to the next gatepost.

I'd love one of the V8 ones, but as discussed previously, lots of extra
power would take away what makes them so good.

  14. I reckon they have a great chassis, you just need to get the
turbocharged version. I haven't driven the turbo but the car is nicely
chuckable. Give it 250hp and I'd be happy.

  15. Agreed, too much horsepower would be silly.

But a bit more would be nice, but I enjoyed chucking one around the
roads around Melbourne a few years back. Nicely designed.

good blast on the way back, every roundabout the back end was out in the
dry, mind you, i was giving it the treatment :) Mine is only 110hp or so &
19 years old, but is it fucking fun....

They also don't have have back seats and are dead easy to break into.

Its almost as if they were some sort of soft-top sports car.

Where d'you live? I need to move there, coz every **** oop 'ere has been on
a speed limiting course and don't know how to reach 30mph unless it's on a
fucking duel carriageway (no spelling mistake there btw).
