Anyone in touch with UKRM's own helicopter pilot?

I might have a bit of moonlighting for him...

    At this point, I'm glad I haven't.

The Lear is out, we're choppering in.

Oh, no; there's a scheduled flight from France to London. The three
of us are getting a chopper to Cardiff. It picks us up from the
    garden of his house!

That's cool. West Ham are going to hammer Preston aren't they? Because
I let youngest [1] stay up late on Thursday to listen to the match and
then had to do the 'it's only football' thing [2] when she was
disappointed when all I wanted to do was sit down after 3 hours of
fucking interruptions from parental phonecalls, visit from clingy ex
and Matt being stressed over his bike.

So if you could have a word because I sort of promised her that West
Ham were really good and would kick Preston into next week because
Blaney wouldn't support a shit team.

Actually if they lose I'll let you explain, much easier that way.

[1] who has developed a liking of football, plays in school team, goes
training after school and goes to Derby matches - if I wasn't there
    I'd swear she wasn't mine.

[2] Apparently saying 'they're not going to win' when it was nil - nil
at half time with Preston 2 up from the previous leg (see I'm getting
the hang of this) was the wrong thing to do. How do you console
    football fans?

Yes, but he's not a pilot, he sits in the back.

Yeah, I phoned Kiran last night. Oh well, I'll give Mark a call today
and see if he knows anyone who wants a job.

We've got a chopper plus pilot, but can change that to chopper only,
and supply our own pilot. Which I'd rather do, if I can find a pilot
who's well-trained, with lots of air-time. Otherwise we might end up
    with Steve Hislop.

Some of my deadest friends were highly trained, very experienced helicopter

Oh, understood. It's all a gamble. I'd just like to bet on the
favourite, you know. Some fucking weekend-warrior helicopter hoobyist
isn't what floats my boat, in this scenario.

I was thinking of having a go myself. Can't be that hard, surely.

  12. It is dead easy. That it is difficult is a myth perpetuated by pilots to
impress women, although in my case it never seemed to work.

One would certainly hope so. Though they rather hammered us at Upton
    Park this season.
She'll have to learn to take the rough with the smooth, if she's going
to be a fan of anyone except Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea.
Unfortunately, who I support has nothing to do with how good they are.
West Ham are shit (at the moment).
Tell them it's only 6 weeks until the pre-season friendlies start.

    Absolute nonsense.

Hull, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Plymouth Argyle, Nottingham Forest,
Sheffield Wednesday, Bradford City, Swindon Town, Oldham Athletic,
    Wimbledon, Oxford United, Notts County.

That's just off the top of my head.

It has. Chelsea haven't been relegated, haven't gone into
administration, haven't had their ground sold, etc. They have won a
few cups, been in the top flight, and played in Europe a bit.

  20. The only time I had a go in a helicopter simulator I made a right pigs
ear of it. I don't think I even managed to leave the ground, at least
Steve Hislop managed to get airborne.
