Good clip! Loved the boffins playing "God Save The Queen" with the engine.
    LOL

At the risk of having my head bitten off by a passing troll......

Gotta love the twonks that crawl out of the woodwork every time Webber is
mentioned, eager to portray him as a no-hoper. Typical armchair racers
    without a clue.

Even pay drivers need to acheive a certain amount of victories in specific
racing categories before they are permitted to hold a "Superlicence".
They've proved their driving abilities well before they've reached F1.

The biggest problem with Webber has been his choices in teams. He's gone
against damn good advice a few times, most notably when he screwed his
chances of moving to Renault by ignoring Flavio's advice and joining the
Williams team when they were on a downward slide. Joining Red Bull could
have paid off, and nearly has a number of times, but their quality control
has been shocking. Not a good look to have the "junior" team out-performing
    the main stable.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

I kind thought the same thing...

    this was interesting

See my other post. He screwed himself by making poor career moves. His
driving ability within F1 (where it really matters) is well respected. But
his abilities as a politician (which is even more important in F1) has left
him with mid-field teams at best.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

  7. A fact which no doubt eats at him every time he leans out of his bedroom
window in the middle of a sleepless night and gazes broodingly out at
    the lights of Monte Carlo...

That should be gazing broodingly out at the lights over the canals of
    Buckinghamshire.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

Actually it may well. If you know you're competent and your middle rank
finishes are because you don't have the best car then you would be
likely to be brooding about lost opportunity

(wouldn't know if the above is true, don't follow F1 - assumption based

Someone like Eddie Irvine seemed to be the former but Webber seems to have
worked very very hard to get where he is and I think he would be burning to
get a proper go at it.
Either way it's probably not too bad a place to be an "also ran" in.

So you're telling us what F1 racing is like.. even though you don't
watch it. It's not compulsory to voice an opinion on everything. Maybe
    stick to Hondas and Ducatis.
