Marina's SR250 on the go...

I rode Marina's little mean-machine to work today... Bearing in mind
that the SR was designed for the average nip (mean height 5'2") and I
am 6'2" and built like a stick insect from Biafra, it must have looked
rather comical. I recieved a lot of smiles... well, laughs really,
    hysterical laughs...
The front brake is almost as effective as a supertanker at full tilt
deciding to make a full stop and reverse, one plans about 3 miles in
advance... The rear brake pedal is quite fun to play with, not too
sure what its there for... I'm amazed that it passed its MOT.
*Hooning* through the twisties is interesting, the frame not being
quite as tight as a Fireblade or an R1, I might suggest to Marina that
she does away with the apehangers... Filtering is probably more
difficult than it would be on a Goldwing, possibly loosing the extra
wide outhanging mirrors would be beneficial...
It seems to tick over at around 5-600 rpm, buzzy little groover...

Hmm, I'm wonderring how feasable Morocco would be...

    Bend them in a bit.

Two gentle drops on my Old VT was enough to take a couple of inches off
the clearance needed. It made all the difference to the filtering.

Nah - I hate them anyway. New bars, possibly off the R80RT as Owen
wants to change them but I like them. Anyway, I used to filter that
bike like a bastard - bent a couple of Transit mirrors back as the
    bars are so high.

We were only discussing the merits of little bikes last night.

Little bikes rock. I reckon I've had more fun on the CeeBee than any
    bigger bike.

As I said last night, I get into more trouble on my GS than any I've
    owned.

It's all the fun you could ever have up to 80mph, in a completely
different way to out and out power type fun. I'll grant you a turbod
Busa would be a giggle, but it's not the same as grinding footrest and
exhaust going up the inside of an R1 pilot on a roundabout.
