Any recommendations - need the F&R hangers for the Sprint - deosn't seem
like a part the dealers stock, they all say can get it in say 24 hours
and then royal mail out to me - won't have the opportunity to get into
see them in person so locality isn't an issue.

Any recommendations? Really like to get the parts by saturday so have a
    chance to get started sunday.

Thanks to you and to Krusty

Already contacted Jack Lilley, they had to order in from Triumph.

Have gone down the "used" route sourcing the hangers from triumph_ant -
£57 incl courier delivery. Obviously not going to be in new condition...

Agreed, this is where I went for my bits. Good service and decent prices.

Just recently I've been helping a friend's girlfriend get an old and
neglected Trident Sprint back on the road. Ordering parts from Triumph
via Flitwick M/cs has been a revelation, none of this 7 - 10 days crap,
there at the dealers the next day and they phone me up to say they've
arrived. Been pretty impressed with the prices too.

I've never found a dealer who holds an airbox for a 15 year old bike as
a stock part, but Flitwick do because on a Trident Sprint to replace the
air filter means replacing the complete airbox, at a cost of 42 quid.
Good job it only needs doing every 12K miles.

That's good to know, I've always been told they're expensive. In fact I
bought some footpegs for my old T/bird from them a few years ago and they
were quite expensive compared to JL.

I am really fancying a shite old Speed Triple.

To give you an idea of prices, a rear caliper rebuild kit, which is 2
pistons and 4 seals, was 29 quid. That's much cheaper than Japanese
prices - strange because the caliper is a Tokico and made in Japan.

You'd pay that for one caliper piston from Kawasaki.

You're meant to do that with carb Tigers too, but you can just take the
screws out & replace the filter, then use a bit of sealant when you
screw the box back together. They're made of very brittle plastic
though so won't take much abuse, hence a K&N is a good plan.
