Edinburgh end of M8 to Glasgow, 15mins, 1000EXUP. About the same distance.
    Night time though.

Ahah, I noted these too last Sunday, sneaky. That stretch is excessively a
pointless 50mph limit IMHO, as it the limit finishes needlessly ages [1]
after the "Works". If I was paranoid I'd think they made the limit longer
just to increase the chances of raking in some extra cash.
In addition to the fact that the "Camera" signs have been up for at least 2
Months before the camera's actually appeared.

The works do spread almost up to the end point of the temp limit. And
the is a requirement in place by law for the limit to end/start a
certain distance from the end/start of the works to ensure that
drivers are doing the correct speed through the works.
They been using Warwickshire's mobile van until now.

Quite! but just for the old bloke - 30ish miles.
It's a decent m-way and there was no traffic so hardly a groundbreaking
achievment but it was the first time I had a bike which would hold 160... or
    anywhere near it.

I once did the 17 mile commute from Walasey to Prescot (back in my BICC
days) in 16 mins (this was through the Mersey Tunnel, down Scottie Road,
Walton (Goodison), up the East Lancs (A580) and onto the M57.

Oh, and this was on on a Triumph 3TA.

And it was 06:00 hours so traffic was light and I wasn't arsed about the
    trafic lights :=}

  13. Would one of them be at the top of Burton Road just after the lights ?
I sit in the traffic there every morning, it's a fucking joke, they even
had a mobile unit at the bottom of the hill as well on Monday.

The best one is the mobile unit that always parks out side the gate to the
RTC Business Park, It was there on Monday morning from 7 O'clock
untill i told a BT van to park in front of him at 8. He didn't stay long.

    Yep, thats one.

They're putting them in down Stenson road as well FFS! What's that all
about? It's hardly a road people can get to 30MPH on most of the time.

I'd much rather the money went on a few things that are needed, like
surface repairs on the ring road, a set of lights on the blue peter
island in Alvaston, and if they are to put in a camera then install one
in the 40 zone near Normanton park as most people do 60 down there with
kids playing maybe only 50 feet away.
Again I don't see the point of a van there, it's not even a main route
since they shut the rail bridge, the community as a wholewould be better
served having a couple of on foot plod controlling traffic where it gets
    gridlocked IMHO.

    It's a hoax.

I've just been through aforementioned section, there were SPECS through the
roadworks (as usual) but nowhere else.

hey, I've got a bunch of UATers downstairs frothing at the bit because
they can't really find anything wrong with my latest release, but the
infrastructure team have fucked up the Sybase config so it's really
slow, and also, the data sanitation on the major syndication feed is
very poor so my (running perfectly) app gives the appearance of being
silly, and my 360 appraisal starts tomorrow.
