To the lorry driver whose tyre was shreaded:
as the traffic was stationery, couldn't you nip between the cars and
pick up your bits of huge rubber

To the R6 rider, who jumped out of his skin when I shouted out him:
A bike is for filtering, you don't have to sit in the queue (he
bimbled off at 10 miles an hour down lane 2a after sitting there for a
    full 5 mins)

To all the drivers who braked at the camera signs:
They are just that *signs*.. however if it continues like this, there
will be more accidents Swindon-> Bath than before the coppers cracked
down - of which I saw none today. However as reported previously,
there are 2 fixed cameras in the road works at Bath, one each way.

3 frigging hours Potters Bar to Bristol. Oh and then it rained.

That would be illegal, and besides he may be hit by a filtering motorbike
He was worried about hitting the lorry driver
    You should have filtered

    Jackie says...

3 1/4 hours from Herne Bay to Flitwick. 3 accidents on my carriageway
on the M25 as people rubbernecked a blazing car on the other
carriageway. All 6 drivers were out of their driveable cars exchanging
details in the middle of a packed friday evening motorway, the cunts.
What do they think the fucking hard shoulder is for?

It's for when Sirs spider sense tells Sir to look up from Sirs tank
bag after reading all the directions to Derby from it at around 95mph
to see all three lanes full of stationary traffic and Sir can't brake
in time. Oh, and the provisional lane 3A is already taken, of course.

yes I totally agree Bear, I shouldn't really be commenting on a bike
newsgroup when I haven't got a bike, not the done thing apparently ;)

but seriously I was just pissed off that he should be stuck in the
same shit that I was, but he didn't have to be..

    Fair enough. I'll do it.
    You were pissed off? Weird.

Anyway, I've not filtered occasionaly when I'm tired. It can be fucking hard
work keeping an eye out for lane changers etc. Would you rather him get
knocked off? Perhaps he didn;t have the confidence? Maybe he couldn't be
arsed? Maybe he's thinking wtf has it got to do with you anyway?

  8. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Jackie amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
There was something in the Ether today; nothing flowed and there seemed
to be more clueless on the roads today than usual. For most of my in-
town riding today I had a sense of impending doom.

Indeed there was; the traffic seemed far heavier and the driving more
numptyish than usual on my way too and from uni.
I felt like that on the way home. I was glad to get back in one
    piece.

Pleasantly relaxed bimble home this evening on this fine VFR. Growls nicely
when shown the whip, it does. Had barely started to drizzle when I got
    home.

Toss up between yesterday and today for me. Yesterday saw a 206
overturned on the M61/M65 junction, whereas today saw me get not so
much cut up but more "gwan mate - see if you can stop in time and not
go under my TNT truck"-up. The fucker got some delayed and reflected
ginger rage, I can tell you.

I could've squashed a grape I was that put out.

Good man. They'm all cunts, they TNTers. 'Cept Scott, but that's
'cause he's too heavily adorned in too many ways to be that much of a
    ****.
You should have got out, gloved up, moseyed all casual like up to his
door, mounted his step - reached in and squashed his fucking grapes.

    With a fuckoffbig Mole wrench.

  17. My thoughts exactly. If some fucker leant out of their car window to
have a go at me about not filtering it would, at the very least, warrant
a Paddington Bear Hard Stare. And quite possibly a "Why don't you mind
    your own fucking business?" too.

Granted - that may not make me the king of wit and repartee, but... but
    nothing, really, that is all.

  20. I've no objection to people not filtering. Ride your own ride, etc. It's
when they sit pretty and prevent other bikes from filtering that I get
    narked.
