M20 Wrotham Hill SPECS cameras

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Steve Uzochukwu, Aug 14, 2005.

  1. These little bar stewards are now in place.

They are situated at the foot of the hill, then halfway up then at the
    top.

Also, the GATSO at the Black Price interchange is back after an 18
    month absence.

This GATSO is not on TomTom 5's Speed camera database.

Now tell me it's a Ginge and guess how much I care.

The Diversion is going well but needs heavier oil in the front forks
    to match the Oehlins springs.

    Later, peeps.

Are there any SPECS in the country which aren't on a motorway?

Yep. One of the A roads into Northampton has them. Elly can probably
    remember which one.

Steve Uzochukwu was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Indeed they are, plus a rather worrying number of what looks like
    regular surveillance cameras.

In this particular installation they've got two on each pole - one
    forward, one rearward facing.

Arse. Cramping my commute somewhat, they are.

The Lumbertubs way has them in Northampton but the worst ones are the
ones on the A428 between Brafieldand Yardley Hastings. It's a nice bit
    of road spoiled for ever.

I'm a great believer in the theory that if I keep ripping through
speed traps flipping the camera the finger then eventually plod will
hide a nice fast car in some bushes and catch me.

<gulp> When were they put there and how long does the NIP/summons[1]
arrive? ...And would I have noticed them (signposted?)

[1] And at what speed can I expect a summons?

  13. I can only answer the first query. The cameras were only all in place
on Thursday or Friday of last week. The previous week there was a
    gantry but no cameras.
