Quite. We had a couple of lessons from J, and then spent time skiing
with, and learning from, them both. For the first time in years we
both feel we've improved, so plan to do more intensive courses next
    winter.

When there's a woman around to donate a fresh pair, it obviates the
    need for a wank.

At that depth, how can you tell if you've fallen over?!

Wrong question. What's important is whether anyone else can see if
you've fallen over. If no-one notices, it doesn't count as a fall.

Hah. Another rule to add to your "if you didn't stop moving then it
    doesn't count as a fall".

  14. I've done a fair amount of deep powder skiing.
    But *never* that deep.

I found it was similar to water skiing on two skis when the boat wasn't
    going quite fast enough.

If you ski off without stopping, ITYF. Sliding on your arse all the
way down the piste isn't quite the same thing.

    <smug mode>

    I have.

You know it's _really_ deep when you need a snorkel to breathe.
Never done water skiing, but others have made similar comparisons.
There are even some skis, supposed to be the dog' nadgers in deep
champagne powder, which have a reverse sidecut, mor like water skis.
They're impossible to ski on piste though.

Sometimes a long way under you. Remember those cliffs I was talking

    Indeed.

In the second jump he lands just a couple of feet away from the rocks,
so only just failed in his attempt.
