M/C Clothing for Real Women

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Richard Pattle, May 5, 2004.

  1. The other half is getting depressed trying to find leathers/waterproofs for
women who aren't tall stick insects.

She's not enormous (16), but see does need kit for someone who is less than
6 ft tall (she's 5'2") - the last pair of trousers she tried on said they
were 18's, were barely 16's and her feet could just reach the kneepads!

Can anyone make any recommendations, preferably not made-to-measure?

    Regards
    Richard

    Heine Gerricke is your friend.

SWMBO is about the same size as your OH (5'4" & size 18) and she got
kitted out with stuff that fits (Leather trousers and All-Season
    Jacket) for under £150 IIRC.

Tangent ... are these things relative?

    Ie is a size 18 literally 2x a size 9?

Nothing. My ex-wife, who I fancied as much when we split up as awhen
we first met, was a size 12.

I would suggest JTS leathers who have a bargain stall at the BMF. They do
Very Large leathers for males and females and prices are slashed in the
    sale.

I'll go along with that, but feel obliged to also mention made to
measure MJK Leathers, as supplied by GLF Accessories. There's a url to
    GLF's website in my sig.

    I can provide one, but she's 5'8". And I'm assuming she's size 9 (if
such a thing exists) because she's always complaining that 8 is too
small and 10 is too big.

I'd second that. They also do mail order. 01530 812121. Their leather
trousers, jacket and gloves have done me very well for years.
