The variety of gear and amount of time and thought put into it is *somewhat*
beyond what most people invest I think.

I do serious amounts of miles, last year I did 18k on the ZZR, about 10K
on the CB250RS and nearly 1k on other peoples bikes. I want to be comfy
in what I am wearing whatever the conditions. I neglected to mention the
Hein Gericke waterproof one-piece suit I keep in the tailpiece of the
ZZR, just in case it pisses down when I'm in my leathers

What you have to remember is that I get all my kit at trade discounted
or cost prices, so my kit probably hasn't cost me as much as some people
pay for just their usual summer kit.
