LRP and catalytic-converters

  1. Well, now I'm REALLY confused. Went on a weekend ride this weekend with
a group. Along on the ride was a Funduro F650 - with only one exhaust.
Now I also know a girl who rides an F650 (not sure what kind it is,
though) and it has two (including the 'fake' one).

btw: also along on the ride was Peter G who, apparently, is very soon to
be the proud owner of a red K100 with chair. Small world, eh?

  2. Funduro 650s are the early ones with carbs. The F650GS and F650GS Dakar are
quite different bikes, have fuel injection and the two can exhaust, the left
is not a muffler but a cat, so I suppose its a fake muffler, but it does do
something besides add weight. When people fit a Staintune, it goes on the
left, leaving a space where the right silencer used to be, I've seen made up
stainless storage containers, fuel tanks etc in their place.

Small world indeed, it's sitting waiting for him.
