It appears a certain Bavarian made motorcycle owned by a loud
northerner had a problem when at Thornbury at the weekend, would anyone
    care to elaborate?

A quantity of rear brake fluid dumped all over the driveway. Not much
    else, afaik.

htf does a bike dump rear brake fluid. Not even the little chavs with
Aprilia RS50s that we get in our shop can manage that.

FrJ had been working on the brakes. I reckon he never put the hose
from header to master cylinder back on properly, so the header dumped
    its load.

Good question. It's the *front* brakes on BMWs that dump all their fluid.

Zero recalls for Cagiva, only two for MV in the 12 years they've been
going (neither of which affect mine), none for the 885 Tiger & one for
the 955. I appear to choose well designed motorcycles!

Perhaps I should buy a Buell to balance things out.

My Bavarian motorcycle didnt leak anything other than big grins...

As for a certain northerner, I won't hear a word against him... he's
big and scary and might make me drink his vodka...

I may be shit with numbers, but I can work a calculator - that's 6100
    bikes with leaky brakes.

BMW are to be commended for their recall strategy, it keeps a whole
department at DVLA in employment in a shit area of the UK.

That sounds like 122,000 bikes that were affected by the recall then.
