  1. Also to reduce unsprung weight.

Well, also because bike discs are aimed more at high performance, so
unsprung weight would take precedence over longevity.

As a bonus, bike discs (odd Hondas excepted) are clearly visible and
easy to check regularly, so less allowance for wear is not such a
    problem.

I shall be obtaining a pair of AV45/46s for the B12 as soon as funds
allow. This is a picture of my front Michelin Macadamia (if you like
them, you're nuts), showing a somewhat uneven wear pattern.

I realise this opens me up to accusations of riding like a gurl. It's
quite likely that I do, so fair play.

Hadn't thought of that. I'll look into it next chance I get. Rear
wheel is on same adjustment markers each side, but we all know how
    useful they are.

  5. That's odd. At first I thought you meant the uneven wear pattern caused
by enthusiastic roundabouting, but that's on the wrong side.

    Are you sure everything's straight?

You're scaring me. There's no reason it shouldn't be.

  7. If you bought the bike from new and know it's not been binned, then it
isn't anything serious that's causing it. Otoh, a used bike might, just
might, have a twist in the frame.

Chances are it's just the front forks slightly askew in the yokes, or
the rear wheel out of adjustment. Best thing is to true everything up
using the traditional wooden battens or string or laser if you must be
    modern about it.

Might be the camber shims - that's a classic symptom of a grey import
    from a RHD country.

Japan drives on the left so it can't be that. Maybe it was set up for a
small Japanese who dresses on the left and is being ridden by a larger
    Englishman dressing on the right?

Does "riding like a gurl" mean sidesaddle? That might explain the wear
    pattern.

Avons, but I could have been on Michelin Pilot 2CTs or Bridgestone
BT002SSs for all the good the tyre compound would have made.

While there is much marketing hype in the article, I'm quite sure, it
    makes interesting reading.
It does not say how quickly it can travel once the battery is discharged
and you rely on the "small petrol motor"

That's nice for you. You need to go to the TT next year and see how
good they are going over the mountain at a fair pace. Failing that you
need to accept that on the Bandit 12 with a pillion they were
    absolutely awful.

Perhaps they're better if the pillion's not lardy?
